I was so excited for this wedding all year! I met Michelle and Curtis in the early spring when I went down to White Rock for their engagement session. We had so much fun and I really got to see the love these two have for each other. They were so good behind the camera, just snuggling and laughing. The engagement pictures turned out soooo good, but we kept them a secret until the wedding so I will share them on the blog soon.
Months past and finally the big day came. Like I said I was so excited to see them both on their special day. Michelle was truly stunning! So beautiful… And of course Curtis cleaned up nicely too :) The venue looked amazing as always thank to Lara at Coco Events and Nikki from River Road Rentals in Oliver. It was beautiful. All the little details that they included just really represented the two of them and came together so nicely. It was the hottest day of the summer even though it was the end of August, but they persevered and enjoyed the day so much. Thank you Michelle and Curtis for letting me be apart of your very special day. It was amazing and I loved every minute.
This wedding was a very fun and different experience for me. Grant and Brenda and their whole family and friends came with their trailors and took over a campsite and really had a whole wedding vacation. Some of Brenda’s family lives here in Osoyoos, so she and the girls had a nice morning getting ready together at her family’s house. The ceremony took place at cottonwood park in Osoyoos overlooking the water and the reception was held right inside the campsite. It was cute and casual and a ton of fun for everyone. I had a great day with this crew and was so happy to be apart of Grant and Brenda’s special day.
I had the pleasure of taking Chris and Sarah’s engagment/family photos back in the early spring. We had a fun afternoon in penticton taking photos, getting to know one another and interacting with the kids, so when this August wedding day arrived I was so excited to see them all again. Sarah grew up in osoyoos, and her family home is here, so when she showed me the plans where the wedding was to happen in the backyard I couldnt wait to see how everything looked. Of course it was beautiful… surrounded by vineyard, mountain views and of course the rustic portion with the barns… it was just perfect.
We started off the morning at Spirit Ridge at NK”MIP Resort where the girls were getting ready, and then Chris and the boys came and joined us for the first look and the rest of the photos. We had a fun day together with their family and friends, and if you know this whole crew, you know how much they all like to laugh and have a good time. I dont think we had to much time on that day where we didn’t laugh.
Thank you Chris and Sarah for letting me share your day with you, I had a blast! Enjoy~
Aaron + Jen were married at the beautiful Walnut Beach Resort in Osoyoos and the day was perfect. It’s actually not very often were we stay in one location for the whole day, but this day we did just that. We utilized the whole resort… getting ready in the rooms, ceremony at the side of the resort, photos around the beautfiul walkways, reception in the ballroom, and even some evening shots on the dock. The day was so full of love and joining of two families. Thank you Jen and Aaron for letting me join your special day.
What a DAY! This was one of those summer days where we experienced many different kinds of weather in one day (Sun, Rain, Wind, thunder, and then Sun again) but they all came at the perfect time. A little rain is good luck and didnt stop us or put a damper on our day at all.
I had so much fun with this crew. Everyone traveld from affar and was so beyond excited to be there. It was a beautiful wedding on the beach at The Watermark Resort, a destination wedding within Canada for sure! Everything was perfect. I got to meet so many of Sean and Nikki’s family and they were all so welcoming and just so so LOVELY. I felt like I spent my day among close friends, and felt lucky that I was able to have such a front seat to the days events. The Vision of Nikki’s wedding was showcased perfectly and all of these beautiful faces made my job so easy. Thank you Sean and Nikki for letting me be apart of your special day.
I was very excited for this day. I had chatted with Lenka many times through email and phone converstions, but we had never met in person. I knew everything about their wedding and had a vision of what this beautifuld day was going to look like, but now I was going to be able to see the important part of the day… the Bride and Groom. When I walked into the Watermark Resort that morning, Lenka was a vision… so beautiful! All her bridesmaids were so sweet and everyone looked so stunning. We had a great morning together as the girls were getting ready, and the guys did the same. Everyone seemed very layed back and calm, and really was just enjoying the day, and a little while later once they were all ready, Luke came to see his bride…
We did their “FIRSTLOOK” on the patio of their hotel so they wouldnt be surrounded by other people. It was sweet, and intimate and I just LOVE Lenka’s face when she see’s her groom.
SOSWEET! It was now time to go and have some fun with the bridal party so we headed off for photos with this goodlooking crew…
Arent they all beautiful? So much fun!
Ok it was now getting very warm so it was time for some down time before the ceremony. We headed over to the GORGEOUSTinhorn Creek Vineyards where we would be for the rest of the day. Everything looked perfect. Monti from Coco Events & Weddings of course did an amazing job as usual. The ceremony was beautiful and after cocktail hour flowed right into the most wonderful evening. So much laughter and fun was had throughout the night and of course the food was amazing. It was their perfect day and I am so honoured I was able to be apart of it. Thank you Luke and Lenka for sharing your day with me. Congratulations!
Justin has been good friends with my brother for years, and really like one of the family, so when he asked me to be apart of the wedding I was of course thrilled. Justin and Samantha live in Edmonton, but Justin is originally from the greater Vancouver area and Samantha is from Austrailia, so they decided to get married in Langley where they can be closer to family and friends. It was a sweet intimate little gathering made up of the most important people to them.
I have never seen such a relaxed couple on their wedding day. Unfortunately it was pouring rain all day, but that didnt matter. They were going to get married outside no matter what. I asked Sam if she wanted to hold an umbrella during her cermony and she said “Nope. If Justin isnt, then I’m not”. Nothing else mattered, she just wanted to be married to her best friend. It was their perfect day, and they were so happy.
When Whitney first asked me to be apart of her special day, I was so thrilled. We used to work together a few years back, and so I knew it would be such a good time. Then we got talking about the day, and she told me where she was having her ceremony…and it was the same church that my husband and I were married over 9 years ago. This beautiful church has a special place in my heart and is filled with wood pues and of course both mine and Whitney’s favorite… an extremely LONG isle. It was a the perfect day, with beautiful people and so much LOVE and I was honored to be apart of it. Jordan and Whitney I wish you all the best in your life together… Love you both!
Getting a big extended family together for photos can be tricky… but not for this family. They make it look easy and fun and thats exactly what it was. This evening with them was full of laughter. Thanks for the great time!
This wedding is very dear to my heart and as I am looking through all of these photos I cant help but smile. Not only was this location a photographers dream, but this beautiful bride just happens to be my cousin. I am always so honored when family asks me to do their photos. It adds a different level of excitiment for me. I dont just get to sit and watch my cousin marry her best friend… it allows me to be up close and centre in every special moment of the day and for me that is such a thrill.
This country wedding ceremony took place in a tiny little chapel in a place called Pinoneer Park. The park represents one of the finest collections of original pioneer log cabins and contents in the Northwest. It was so intimate and sweet and the park allowed for a spectacular background for Jerad + Kirsten’s photos.
In keeping with the theme, we then headed out for the reception in Anacortes to Greenfeild Farms and gardens. I just loved everything about his place. It has so much character and of course Kirsten + Jerad’s vision just fit into the whole place so perfectly. It was an afternoon of good food (MMM…Chipotle’s taco bar), and tons of love and laughter. It was great day to be apart of as both a photographer and a cousin :)
