This wedding was very dear to me and I was so PUMPED to be apart of it! Ashley is one of my very special friends. We worked side by side for many many years back in our serving days. I wouldn’t exactly say the gold ol days… We were young, stressed about money and life in general, but we definitely had some fun and a great group of girls to work with.
Well Ashley I am thrilled to say that we have come a long way. We both have amazing husbands, adorable kids (if I do say so myself) and though life will never be stress free, those stresses are just different. I am so happy you found the man of your dreams. You were such a beautiful bride and Justin you are one very lucky dude!
It was a beautiful summer day and the sun was shining. Justin had a pep in his step as he danced down the isle with a smile on his face. Excited to see his bride.. and she was glowing.
This wonderful bridal party was so much fun. A tight knit group of family and friends. They had such fun ideas and though one of these 6 gorgeous girls is a wedding photographer herself, she did very well on the other side of the camera. (shout out to Kerensa of Kerensa Leigh Photography).
For those of you who know Abbotsford, you know that Clayburn Village is such a fun place to go… especially to the huge candy store ;) So when Ashley told me the wedding was going to be at the Old Clayburn Schoolhouse I knew it would be amazing. Such a great location. The building added so much character to the decor and the vision came together beautifully. All the little details that these girls spent hours putting together were amazing. The night was perfect… full of laughter and tears and a whole lot of fun!
Thanks Justin + Ashely… thank you so much for choosing me to play such a role in your big day. It was truly an honor! ENJOY ~
I had the pleasure of Meeting Paul and Emily just 1 day before their wedding. They both live in Venezuela and come to Osoyoos every summer to spend time with Family, and since they were coming so far their family did most of the planning for them.
It was a very intimate evening at the beautiful Adega Estate Winery consisting of only family. Everyone came together to celebrate this amazing couple and this sunny summer night was full of so much fun and laughter. I am so happy that Paul and Emily chose me to be apart of this very special day and I look forward to seeing them again next year when they come to back Osoyoos for their annual vacation.
Walking into this wedding was a little nerve racking yet very exciting for me as it was the 1st time I had ever met Jessica + Richard. They first contacted me last year through my website and we did all of our chatting and planning online and via phone and email. So when I walked into the room it was so great to finally put a face to a name and I gave Jessica a big hug :)
When I arrived in the morning Jessica and her mom were together getting her ready for the day. Jessica and Rich decided not to have a bridal party and to just let all of their friends be there enjoying the day with them. I think it was very special for a mom and a daughter to have that time together and started off the day in such a calm environment. Jessica walked out excited, beautiful and ready to see her man.
Richard was standing outside waiting in anticipation for his bride to come and meet him, and Jessica walked out glowing. There is something about a FIRSTLOOK that is so awesome for a couple, and this moment was just all about them. They laughed and cried and hugged and kissed and then we walked and got some ridiculously amazing photos ;) The rest of the day was just as perfect and we all had so much fun together. Once again Spirit Ridge was such a beautiful location and did an amazing job of everything.
I always love shooting weddings at Spirit Ridge Vineyards because who can resist a rooftop view of Osoyoos. Mike and Andrea you two had such a beautiful day that it just made your background that much more spectacular. I knew walking into this wedding that we were going to have a lot of fun. When I first met with Andrea and Mike they told me a little about them and what they were looking for and it just screamed good taste and a good time. After that meeting, the two of them went home and did a little homework for me. They sent me some images of photos that they thought might be fun and some ideas they liked. Well the day was amazing and the wedding party just added to they entertainment. They were a hoot and there was never a dull moment.
The beautiful scenery, amazing food, good people and great stories made this day such a joy to be apart of. Thank you Mike and Andrea for having me :)
May has got to be one of my favorite months in general but also to photograph weddings in the Okanagan. The weather is beautiful and everything is turning green, but yet it isnt crazy hot yet… and this beautiful May day was just the same!
Aimee and Carlo’s wedding took place at the beautiful Watermark Resort on the water. Aimee was stunning in her gorgeous white dress and Carlo, well he was her PRINCE as my daughter would say. Surrounded by all their family and friends, these two stood on the beach with her grandfather and said their vows. Aimee is hulairous and wanted to make sure nothing happend to her vows that she kept them in a tupperware container to avoid any damage.
The rest of the day was tons of fun and it was so nice getting to know these two better. The words that were spoken about Aimee and Carlo, and the stories that were told were just filled with so much JOY and laughter. They are truly loved by all and are just sweetest couple. I am so happy I was able to be apart of their special day.
It was the week of the wedding and I was so excited to FINALLY meet Crystal and John. We had sent emails back and forth and chatted on the phone a bit but since they live far away we hadn’t had the oppourtunity to meet. In the midst of their busy schedule, we managed to sneek in a quick coffee date and chat about their upcoming BIG day. When I heard about all the elements Crystal had planned for the day I was pumped… It was going to be a beautiful wedding.
The weather was spectacular. It was the end of October but it felt like spring… sunny and warm all day. The leaves were yellow and the fall colors just covered the ground like a warm blanket. We couldnt have asked for a better day. We started the photos at John’s family Vineyard in Cawston. With so many amazing things to look at it was the perfect location for John and Crystal to first see each other and have their time for photos together. We then headed back to Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort for the beautiful ceremony and reception. They whold day was perfect and I had so much fun with all of their family and friends. Thanks again Crystal and John for letting me be apart of your special day. I loved every minute.
When Leila and David first came up to Osoyoos to meet with me I knew we were a good match. They were so relaxed and fun but yet having an out of town wedding, they were so organized. Everything fell into place so nicely and the day was perfect.
It was September 14th, 2013 and Leila looked stunning. As she walked down the stairs, David waited in anticipation with his back turned. All her bridesmaids and myself included were crying as David turned around and saw his bride for the first time. I blame the pregnancy hormones but it was a very special moment you couldnt help but get caught up in :) We continued into the Vineyards to do some photos of just the 2 of them before the busy day began. The weather was perfection and they looked so happy and in Love.
The ceremony took place that afternoon on the rooftop of Spirit Ridge Resort, and the view was spectacluar. With all of their family and friends their to support them, David and Leila said their vows. It was the perfect day and I am so happy that I was the one chosen to be apart of it. David and Leila I had way to much fun with you and your whole hilarious bridal party… Thank you!
I just love it when I talk to brides after their wedding and all they have to say about their day is that it was THEBESTDAYOFTHEIRLIVES. It is so special that I get to be apart of such an experience. For Kelvin and Gail, the day was truly one they will have in their hearts forever. Surrounded by all of their grandchildren, family and friends, the whole day was perfect.
I joined Kelvin and Gail at the Watermark Resort before the wedding to do some photos, and the backdrop was just stunning! The sun was shining and everyone looked beautiful. After that, it was time to get on with the wedding so we headed to the Osoyoos Golf and Country Club. The decor was beautiful and Gail’s Vision had been turned into reality with fresh sunflowers everywhere! The Ceremony took place on the top patio which overlooked the golf course and Osoyoos Lake. With all of their grandchildren standing around them, they said their vows and Kelvin kissed his bride.
Thank you Gail and Kelvin for letting me be apart of your special day. It was truly an honour to watch you and your families come together and have such a great time. I loved every minute!
A Sunny Summer day in the beautiful city of Vancouver, Scott and Shaunacey said those 2 magic words “I DO” amongst all of their family and friends. It was the perfect day and we really enjoyed our time getting to know all of the wonderful people that surrounded them.
I started off at Shaunacey’s moms house where all of the beautiful ladies were getting ready for the day. The morning was full of fun and laughter as the girls got Shaunacey ready and into her beautiful wedding gown. She was an absolutely stunning bride and her mom and friends just stared at her as they were so proud and excited for this wonderful day.
It was now time to go and get married! The limo pulled up and we heading into the city. They Ceremony took place at St.Augustines, and the church was spectacular! Such a beautiful location and such an important part of the day for Scott and Shaunacey. As the church filled with family and friends, it was time!
They were married and both just absolutely beaming! We stepped outside of the church and Scott and Shaunacey greeted all of their guests. We then left and headed for photos… 1st stop was UBC. Scott and Shaunacey met when they were attending UBC and lived on campus with their buildings literally right beside each other, so it was very important to them to have some photos in that special place. We then continued on to Jericho Beach, and finally to the last location where the reception was taking palce… The Vancouver Yacht Club. Everywhere we went the sun was shining and the settings were more and more gorgoeus.
We had such a great time with these two and all of their friends. Thank you Scott and Shaunacey so much for letting us be apart of your special day… It was truly and honor and we enjoyed every minute!
They met, they fell in love, and they were engaged all within just a few short months. But in this case it is very true what they say “when you know, you know”, and these two are just a fabulously great couple!
Planning a wedding while working overseas is tough, but Caroline was so incredibly organized. She did what she could while she was home, but when it was time to go back, she left the rest of the planning in the hands of her future husband. They both did amazingly and the wedding went off without a hitch! Together — along with their friends and family — Matt and Caroline pledged to live forever committed to each other. On a beautiful day in Oliver, B.C., they stood amongst the vineyards and swore to never leave each others’ sides. The wedding was perfection and their love made them the envy the day.
Caroline and Matt, thank you for allowing me the honor of sharing your beautiful day. Your friends and family were amazing and we felt such a warm welcome from everyone… thank you for being so incredible. :) Nikki Dawn
The wedding was held atTinhorn Creek Vineyards in Oliver, B.C and the day was perfect! The clouds rolled in but the rain held off and created such a beautifully dramatic background for this breathtaking wedding. We arrived at Tinhorn Creek early and everything was so gorgeous. The view, the decor…They did such a great job of making everything so much fun for them and their guests. The theme was bicycles, and even though its definitely a favourite for these two.. Caroline made it known to Matt in her vows that she loved him more than BIKES!
All the stunning vintage pieces were from the lovely Vintage Origami and the beautiful flowers from Edgy Petals. Everything was just gorgeous and flowed together so nicely. I commend Caroline and Matt on letting this wedding really be all about them while showing off their style and personality. Also, a big HIGHFIVE to Michelle Fritz who is just jumping into the wedding industry as a wedding planner. She really helped to pull together Caroline and Matt’s vision so brilliantly.
